EC-3 | Quizzes/Assignments/Labs | Centre Based Open Book |
2 Hours | Friday, Saturday and Sunday | ~40% |
3. Grading Procedure
Relative grading it is ! Don’t worry too much about minimum marks needed to pass etc. Everything will depend on how difficult the subject was and how your batchmates performed in it. For tough subjects like Mathematics for machine learning pass mark could be just 5/30 in mid-sem or could be 20/30 for easier subjects like ISM.
- Students are graded with relative grading
- Letter grades Range from A, A−, B, B−, C, C−, D and E where each letter corresponds to grade points 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 and 2 respectively
- For project work a non-letter grade is awarded such as EXCELLENT, GOOD, FAIR and POOR.
- If a student is absent for any of the written examination, the student will be declared as a RRA (Required to Register Again) for that course.
- The CGPA awarded in a 10 point scale is calculated as:CGPA=(U1G1+U2G2+U3G3+U4G4)(U1+U2+U3+U4)Where U1, U2, U3 and U4 denote the Units associated with the courses taken G1, G2, G3 and G4 denote the Grade Points awarded in the respective courses.
- Non Letter Grades DO NOT go into CGPA Computation
